Make your wish this Christmas

Just before writing todays post. I decided to do something I haven't done since I was a teenager, 17 or 18 I do believe. That was to know what exactly what I wanted to achieve by the time I was 21.

When I reached 21, I had achieved exactly what I wanted. To be living in the city, and working full time. It may not seem like much to others, but when I was younger moving to a big city like Cardiff was a million miles away. It felt like the un achievable for someone who was scared of taking risks in life.

The only thing though. Was that day when I was driving to work, I realised I had achieved that dream. The fact I reached it didn't make me happy. I didn't feel like I had accomplished anything by accomplishing this goal. So this is how today's post comes in. I want to think about how much I have achieved since being 21 to today's 24.

I've since left Cardiff, moved back to Somerset and back to Cardiff again. Experienced the best and worst times of my life, but all in all. I can officially say I have come a long way since then. I'm a completely different person to who I was back then. I guess getting older has a lot to do with it also.

For the end of 2016 nearing, I want to lesson the gap and think of how I'm going to make a new goal for this year, a more exciting one to achieve.

What I did was write multiple things down on a piece of paper, then put it away to open this time next year. As I'm a dubious person, I shall be keeping these wishes to myself.

If they come true, I promise you will find out. If you haven't already across the year!

  1. This is such a lovely idea, I'm going to do it too. I easily forget about what I've achieved and pass it off like I did nothing. One way to look back and realise what you've done! xx
