Souffle De Velvet, Rouge Edition

Bourjois Paris Rogue Edition Lipsticks have been a part of my makeup collection for years now. I remember the exact moment I fell in love with them just like it was yesterday. I had been stuck in my ways of having nude lips for basically my entire teenage years.

I was shopping with my friend, when I realised my favourite shade had been discontinued from Elf Cosmetics. I spent forever trying to find a brand which had a pigmented nude colour, to my luck I never found one.

That day she managed to talk me into trying a darker colour. I have never been so thankful for her, because she broke me out of my rut. Since that day I have never looked back.

The Rogue Edition lipsticks were the original collection I fell for, which I have talked about more below. For this first section I wanted to speak about the newest summer collection released by Bourjois Paris, the Souffle De Velvet.

04 RAVIE EN ROSE / 05 FUCHSIAMALLOW SOUFFLE DE VELVET

These two colours were the ones I narrowed it down to on the day, a peachy coral pink and a coral red. They look so beautiful in their packaging with the frosted look. Unfortunately the formulas did not live up to expectations.
I tried to wear both on so many occasions, but the formula was always to thin and would slide around on your lips. You would need to spend ages for it to just create one pigmented full layer, but it just never happen. There would always be some area of your lips that wasn't looking right.

I don't feel the hassle is worth it, with the colours just not appearing well enough. Very disappointing products from the range. Nothing like all there other collections.

10 DON'T PLINK OF IT! / 16 HONEY MOOD / 14 PLUM GIRL ROGUE EDITION VELVET

I purchased these three tones to match with my collection of Rogue Edition Lipsticks which are below. They are perfect for when you are out, and want to top up your colour, but not having your lips dry out and crumble from applying to many layers of lipstick. It doesn't matter how good your lipstick is sometimes, to many layers is still to many layers.

These allow you to top up all day, with incredibly pigmented colours and fuller looking lips. These are perfect for your hand bag and everyday use, I love them.

30 PRUNE AFTERWORK / 04 ROSE TWEED / 14 PRETTY PRUNE / 18 VIOLINE STRASS ROGUE EDITION

These are my favourite lipsticks from drugstore brands, with there full pigmentation and long lasting formula. They are just beautiful colours, have no awful chemically smell adding to them. I honestly couldn't fault them.

Usually with collections you have some colours that work well, some which don't. Out of all the one's I've tried, No.14 is the only one I would say is drying and has a slightly different texture to it's formula. It doesn't put me off using it though as the colour is just beautiful.

ROGUE EDITION £7.99 / ROGUE EDITION VELVET £8.99 / SOUFFLE DE VELVET £8.99
