NYX Beauty Haul

NYX Cosmetics has always been one of those brands I've heard amazing reviews about. Just two months ago I purchased my first three lip cream's and there was no going back. Since then I've purchased a further seven to try out.

These have recently just become available for the first time in Local Drugstores and I am so excited by this. Each of the lip creams in the collection are named after Cities around the world, which I think is a really nice touch.

SYDNEY, SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM

A lovely baby pink colour, when you apply it straight to your lips it comes out very thinly. I recommend using another lipstick beneath to allow the colour to come out more. This is a great colour to get you in the mood for summer.

ISTANBUL, SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM

This is more of your everyday colour, a toned down browny pink. When applying by itself the colour comes out amazingly and you wouldn't need to have use any under coats . I still like to use the lip lining technique all over the lips to keep it all in place better, this is just a personal preference of mine when using creams.

CANNES, SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM

My favourite out of the three, and the one I use almost daily. A light nude brown that gives a subtle touch to your make-up and goes with absolutely everything. Having a pale skin tone it does wonders for enhancing my complexion and bringing more colourful tones to my face.

All of the applicators from the lip creams going work really well, are all super moisturising with great pigmentation. They last for hours and are absolutely brilliant.

7 / 3 NYX FULL THROTTLE LIPSTICK PLEINE COULEUR

I'm not particularly fond of these two. The size they have made the formula is really small, so the application isn't the easiest to do. You aren't able to do one line across your lips as it wouldn't cover much of it.

They aren't very pigmented either, to me they feel more like coloured lipsal. Especially with the darker of the two colours, I found when I wore it for long periods of time. It would rub away in the corners of my lips and wouldn't look very attractive at all.

11 / 15 NYX HIGH VOLTAGE ROUGE A LEVRES SURVOLTE

I wasn't sure what the difference was going to be between the two of these. To be honest even after using them I'm still not sure now. They made the shape of the formula tip a little different, but after using it just once. It then looks the same as the Full Throttle Lipsticks.

They are both nice colours for days when you just want a more natural look and don't want to look like you are wearing a lot of makeup.

9 / 7 / 4 NYX LIQUID SUEDE CREAM LIPSTICK

I have mixed feels on using these. They are meant to be affordable Liquid Matte Lipsticks, and they do just that.

You apply these to your lips in liquid form, then they dry to a matte texture. The only reason I say I'm unsure about them is because they aren't very long lasting. Especially if your like me and you drink a lot of fluids.

The darkest of the three tones is the only one of the three I like wearing, the others don't work particularly well with my skin tone. When I first purchased it I would wear it maybe once a week. Since then it's started to get less and less. It's a great product, but I know there is better out there.
